We aim to give consumers confidence in their food choices with the help of our Product of the Month.
Our Product of the Month for January is Red Oak Leaf by Gotham Greens
Leafy greens have many different varieties, ranging from spinach, arugula, lettuce, collards, and kale. Oakleaf greens are a type of lettuce that derived its name because of the similar leaf structure to that of an oak tree (so no, they aren't actual oak leaves). Oak leaves are delicate and tender, containing a light, crunchy flavor. Oakleaf greens are versatile due to the subtle flavor profile, making it the perfect type of lettuce to add for texture, without overwhelming the plate. Oak Leafs contain high quantities of vitamins A and K, as well as an abundance of antioxidants such as beta carotene and lutein.
