Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) is an analytical method that combines the features of gas-chromatography and mass spectrometry to identify substances within a test sample.
Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS) is a similar analytical chemistry technique that combines the physical separation capabilities of liquid chromatography with the mass analysis capabilities of mass spectrometry. Both GC-MS and LC-MS are regarded as "gold standards" in food testing because they are highly focused tests that positively identify the presence of even the smallest amounts of a specific substance. They are most often used to detect and measure spoilage and contamination.
Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) is a type of mass spectrometry analysis that detects metal and several non-metal quantities in food.
Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-AES or ICP-OES), is another analytical technique for the detection of metals using atoms and ions that emit electromagnetic radiation to identify the characteristics of metals in food substances.

After our partner labs deliver us a precise analysis of a chosen food item, our team at TestSharing transcribes the results to a custom Evaluation Report that is then made available to our users.
